Larry Dobkin, as a Parisian tout, offers Lucy a francs-for-dollars deal she can't refuse in "Paris at Last."

Larry Dobkin, who played the part of banker "Rudolph Atterbury" (originally played by Gale Gordon) in the 50th Anniversary Reunion Performance of "Lucy's First Sitcom," is a familiar face to fans of I Love Lucy -- as the restaurant counterman who catches Lucy with her hand in the till in "Ricky and Fred Are TV Fans" (Episode #66); as Xavier, the waiter who forces the girls to wash dishes in "Equal Rights" (Episode #70), and as the Parisian tout (pictured here with Lucy) whose phony francs land Lucy in jail in "Paris at Last!" (Episode #145). Mr. Dobkin began acting as a child on New York City stages, both on and off-Broadway. After receiving an M.A. from Yale University's School of Drama, he plunged into commercial radio in the late '40s and early 50s including such shows as Lux Radio Theater, Philco Playhouse, and his own starring vehicle, the Adventures of Ellery Queen. His more than 200 other television acting credits include Barnaby Jones, Burns and Allen, Cannon, The F.B.I., Gunsmoke, The Fugitive, Have Gun Will Travel, L.A. Law, Manhunter, McGyver, Mod Squad, Naked City, Playhouse 90, Red Skelton, The Rifleman, Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Streets of San Francisco, Wagon Train, The Waltons, and War and Remembrance, as well as recent featured roles on The Practice and Melrose Place. His writing credits include Life and Times of Grizzly Adams (feature film and series). Directing credits span 25 years and more than 200 hours of prime time, including Alcoa Presents, Barnaby Jones, Charlie's Angels, Cowboy in Africa, Emergency, The Fugitive, The Rifleman, Star Trek, Streets of San Francisco, and The Waltons. Mr. Dobkin has appeared in more than 20 feature films including The Defiant Ones, The Ten Commandments, Patton, 12 O'Clock High, D.O.A., and North by Northwest. He recently recorded I Love Lucy: Behind the Scenes -- the award winning audio cassette edition of Jess Oppenheimer's memoir, Laughs, Luck...and Lucy: How I Came to Create the Most Popular Sitcom of All Time.
